PHOENIX — Roadways in North Phoenix were back to normal Tuesday after a water main break earlier this month resulted in a long closure.
City spokeswoman Stephanie Bracken told KTAR News 92.3 FM that the road striping was finished Tuesday morning, and all restrictions were lifted.
The break near Seventh Avenue and Deer Valley Road covered a large portion of the roadway on Jan. 11 and completely blocked traffic for hours.
Bracken said last week that the cause of the break was due to a combination of old pipes and weather conditions.
Seventh Avenue was initially completely closed near the break, and multiple lanes remain blocked of while crews repaired the damage.
The city opened one lane in each direction over the weekend following the break to help with traffic jams.
