Two tales of tattooed ladies. Our first case involves the theft of display phones at a Cricket Wireless store. It happened on Nov. 25 in the middle of the afternoon.
Phoenix police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild says a young, petite woman walked in the store near 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road and started a conversation with the employee.
“She was possibly trying to distract the clerk,” Rothschild says.
“As that was happening, the two male suspects come in, look around for a little bit and ultimately begin taking cell phones they cut from the display shelf. When they both ran out of the store, the woman ran out with them.”
There’s something about the woman you may recognize. She has tattoos of three roses on her left arm.

Next, a mugging in the parking lot of an apartment complex near 19th and Northern avenues. It happened on a late Monday afternoon, Nov. 26. A man pushed a woman and forcibly took her purse.
Not long after, the woman’s credit card was used at a nearby QuikTrip store.
Rothschild says, “There’s a male that we’re calling a suspect and there’s a female that was with him that we’re referring to as a person of interest. She has a large diamond-shaped tattoo on her chest.”
