PHOENIX – Keep that umbrella handy, as an unsettled weather pattern is expected to bring rain into metro Phoenix throughout the week.
There’s a slight possibility for showers Monday night, but Tuesday looks like a wet one, with an 80 percent chance, according to the National Weather Service.
Another chance for rain expected Monday across southeast California, spreading into western and central Arizona on Tuesday. Amounts will generally range between 0.25-0.50", but higher totals possible over @JoshuaTreeNPS and areas north and east of #Phoenix #azwx #CAwx pic.twitter.com/OQ8ZGybpX6

Forecasters are expecting up to a half-inch of rainfall Tuesday and a high of 62 degrees, the coolest day of the week.
With .64 inches through Sunday, there’s already been more precipitation in the Valley this month than in all of January 2018. The average for the last 10 years for the month was .94 inches.
Things should dry out by Wednesday, but another system could bring more precipitation to the area Thursday night and Friday morning.
Other than Tuesday, temperatures are expected to remain around normal for this time of year in the upper 60s.
In the high country, a winter weather advisory for snow will be in effect Tuesday morning until Wednesday morning for areas above 7,000 feet, which excludes much of the Flagstaff area.
