1 dead, 1 in serious condition after plane crash near Kingman

PHOENIX — A woman died and a man was hospitalized in serious condition following a small plane crash near Kingman on Sunday morning.
Both were occupants in the plane when it crashed approximately 100 yards from the Mohave County Parks Ranger Station.
The man was able to approach and alert a person to the situation and contact police.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board were investigating the crash.
The man and woman’s identities were not immediately released.
