Police: 1 dead, 5 hospitalized after shooting at Phoenix motel

PHOENIX — An 18-year-old female is dead after a Sunday morning shooting outside of a Phoenix motel.
Police identified the woman Monday as Fiasia Perry and said she died of her injuries while hospitalized.
The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. near Van Buren and 25th streets, Phoenix Police said.
According to police, a total of six people were shot, including Perry and a 19-year-old male suspect.

Of the other four victims, two are male and two are female, and they range in age from 26 to 41 years old, according to police.
At least three victims hospitalized were in “extremely critical” condition Sunday.
Police said two males arrived to the hotel and got into a “verbal altercation” with a group on the second floor of the motel.
Multiple shots were then fired by both groups at each other, police said.
Police said the other male suspect is being sought by the police.
