PHOENIX — Phoenix Police identified a man Sunday who allegedly pulled a gun at the Burton Barr Central Library the previous day.
Police said they arrived to the library near Central Avenue and McDowell Road on Saturday around 2 p.m. in response to a call of a fight and shots fired.
When officers arrived, they saw 36-year-old Cedric Broger pinned down by security staff.
According to police, a firearm had been produced during the struggle with security, and it was secured nearby.
Security told police that they asked Broger to leave after he began shouting profanities at staff.
When asked to leave, Broger hit one guard and bit another, security told police, but there were no shots fired.
Broger was booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault, one count each of criminal trespassing and prohibited possessor of a weapon as well as unrelated felony warrants.
