PHOENIX — One Phoenix mom had an exciting start to 2019 — her first child was born New Year’s Day at Banner Estrella Medical Center just 47 seconds after midnight.
Born to Gabriella Soto, 19, and Martin Gaytan, Aidan Soto weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.
According to Banner Health, Aidan was the first baby of 2019 born at any Banner facilities in the Valley and Tucson.
He was likely the first baby born at any Valley hospital, but Banner said it was not 100 percent certain.
The Banner medical team gifted the family with a diaper display to celebrate the birth.
