PHOENIX — A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in a Phoenix suburb on Monday night was fighting for his life in a local hospital on Tuesday.
Kenneth Cahill, 67, was crossing Glendale Avenue in a marked crosswalk at 59th Drive in Glendale when he was struck by a dark color sedan around 7 p.m., Glendale Police Sgt. John Roth said.
The vehicle failed to stop after the accident and then continued westbound on the roadway.
Cahill was suffering from multiple life-threatening injuries and is currently still receiving emergency treatment, Roth added.
Police did not release information about a possible suspect, but said the vehicle should have damage to the front of the vehicle and possibly the windshield from the impact.
On Tuesday, police released a photo of what they believe is the vehicle.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Glendale Police at 623-930-3000.
