PHOENIX — Talk about a doggone mess.
Traffic along a major Phoenix freeway was slowed during the morning commute on Monday due to a group of dogs that were seen running along the freeway.

Arizona Department of Transportation cameras captured six dogs running along the southbound Interstate 17 near Grand Avenue around 10 a.m.
The dogs were seen dodging vehicles while traveling along the freeway.
But a state trooper was able to quickly swoop in and wrangle up the group of animals.
All six dogs were captured and safely taken off the highway.
