Man who robbed two Phoenix banks an hour apart found and arrested

PHOENIX – A man wanted for robbing two Phoenix banks an hour apart Friday afternoon was arrested Saturday.
Michael K. Hutchins, 57, was located in a hotel near East Thomas Road and 48th Street after the FBI asked the public to help find him.
The man was described as being 55 to 65 years old and standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet with a medium build.
He wore dark sunglasses, blue jeans and a gray button-up shirt during the crimes.
The first robbery took place at the Wells Fargo on Central Avenue just north of Thomas Road at around 12:45 p.m.
About an hour later the same suspect robbed a Chase Bank about 3 miles away on 24th Street north of Thomas.
In both cases, the man approached a teller and demanded money before fleeing with an unknown amount.
No weapon was seen and nobody was injured.
