Hawaiian Airlines to open IT center in Phoenix early next year

PHOENIX– Hawaiian Airlines announced Thursday that it will open an information technology center in Phoenix next year.
The airline said in a news release that its primary IT functions will remain in Honolulu, with the Phoenix center providing additional support.
The company said it expects to open a temporary office space early next year, with plans to move into a permanent building and build a staff of more than 100 employees.
The airline said it plans to work with local schools to recruit students for IT internships and possible jobs.
Hawaiian Airlines began operating in 1929 and is the largest airline in the island state.
