PHOENIX – Hugh Jackman, the singer/actor/dancer/producer/superhero whose talent seems to know no bounds, is embarking on a world concert tour next year that will stop in the Phoenix area in July.
The arena tour’s name says it all: “Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show.”
The Valley performance is scheduled for July 14 at Gila River Arena in Glendale. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m.
Jackman will kick off the tour May 13 with a 12-show European leg preceding 22 shows in North America.
The Australian heartthrob — accompanied by a live orchestra, backup singers and dancers — will perform songs from his hit musical movies “The Greatest Showman” and “Les Misérables” as well as an assortment of Broadway and film favorites.

While announcing the tour Thursday, Jackman told “Today” that he’ll also share personal stories and welcome special guests along the way.
“It’s not ‘Wolverine: The Musical’,” he said, referring to his iconic role in the X-Men comic book movies.
There are few areas of entertainment Jackman hasn’t conquered.
In addition to his superhero turn as Wolverine, Jackman has won Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards and was nominated for the Academy Award for best actor for his performance as Jean Valjean in the 2012 film version of “Les Misérables.”
His latest movie, “The Front Runner,” in which he plays doomed presidential candidate Gary Hart, was released last week.
