Silver Alert canceled after Phoenix-area man found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert for a Phoenix-area man who was reported missing after he did not show up for lunch with friends has been canceled after he was found safe.
Jerry Harris, 75, of Fountain Hills, was located in Payson on Thursday, hours after the alert was issued. No other details were immediately released.
Harris was reported missing by his wife. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies said that she spoke to her husband on the phone Tuesday around 3:20 p.m.
He told her he was exhausted but planned to meet friends for lunch at Tempe Marketplace, then head to Arizona State University to watch the men’s basketball game.
His wife said Harris didn’t make either outing.
Harris was driving a silver 2013 Toyota Siena, Oregon license plate 354GGA.
Harris is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray hair.
