PHOENIX — Looking to save big bucks on Black Friday?
A personal finance website looked at 7,000 deals in multiple product categories from 35 retailers to determine which stores had the highest average Black Friday discounts.
WalletHub found that department store Belk is the best place for the holiday, with an average discount of about 69 percent.
There are no Belk stores in Arizona, but luckily many offers are still available online.

“Most of these offers are going to be both online and in store, and probably start before Black Friday itself,” Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst, told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Friday.
“If you are looking for specific items … there are some great doorbusters in store itself on Black Friday, but just remember these are usually in limited quantities, and those are the things people really tend to line up for,” she said.
Arizonans’ next best bet is JCPenney, which offers a 65 percent average Black Friday discount.
The other stores in the top 10 were Stage, Kohl’s, New York & Company, Payless ShoeSource, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, Fred Meyer and Shopko.
Hardware store True Value ranked last at about 16 percent, lower than the 37 percent average discount across all retailers.
“Keep your eyes set for 37 percent off. Anything at or above that is a real Black Friday bargain,” Gonzalez said.
The “apparel and accessories” product category had the largest share of discounted items at about 23 percent, while “books, movies and music” had the lowest, with less than 1 percent of products discounted.
