PHOENIX — You may be excited about the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes coming around the corner, but first, pizza.
Downtown Phoenix Inc. will hold the Phoenix Pizza Festival on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Margaret T. Hance Park in central Phoenix.
Organizers urge pizza lovers to buy the $10 tickets (which only cover admission, not pizza) online, as they expect to sell out.
There’s also an option to sign up for a volunteer slot, with jobs including ticketing, kid’s crafts and wine pouring, for free admission.

There are at least 20 pizza makers participating in the festival, offering slices as well as whole pies.
For washing down the pizza, five craft beer and wine bars will be open.
Besides stuffing your face, other activities include local music, lawn games and a kid’s zone.
Still hungry? Come back to the park the next day between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the Downtown Donut Festival.
