PHOENIX — Phoenix-area voters planning to do their civic duty Tuesday morning will step into a brisk day when polls open at 6 a.m., but eventually the weather will warm into the 80s.
The overnight low was expected to drop around 60 degrees, but the high was expected to reach 83 degrees.
The Arizona Secretary of State Office’s said late last week about 70 percent of all ballots had already been turned in through early voting. That leaves the rest to vote in person or drop off an early ballot at a polling location.
If you like consistency, this is your week! It'll be a little cooler by the weekend, though. #abc15wx #azwx https://t.co/p5oCKZ82Qo

#Phoenix Planner. You can expect more pleasant and dry weather with highs in the low 80s through Wednesday. We'll turn slightly cooler near seasonal norms by Thursday. Enjoy your week! 😀 #AZWX pic.twitter.com/OgaJTpUTJv

Sunset was predicted to arrive at 5:32 p.m.
That’s about 90 minutes before the polls close at 7 p.m.
By law, anyone who is standing in line when the polls close has to be allowed to vote.
Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes said, “There’s a whole host of different things that can happen at a polling site,” but poll workers have been trained to make sure voters know all their options, he recently told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
