Phoenix police investigating fatal hit-and-run crash

PHOENIX – Phoenix Police say a 72-year-old man died following a hit-and-run crash near 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road on Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 6:05 p.m. and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
The victim’s body was found in the middle of the the street, police said.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Hospital staff said the victim had injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
No witnesses have come forward and a reward of up to $1,000 could be claimed by anyone with knowledge of the situation.
