PHOENIX — Are you supporting Republican candidate Stephanie Tanner or Democrat Nell Carter on Tuesday?
Hopefully your answer is neither, because they are both definitely not on the ballot.
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and his conniving crew tricked some Arizona State Fairgoers into saying they voted for fake candidates.
One woman fell for it, proudly stating she voted for Tanner, a character on the sitcom “Full House.”
The woman went even further, saying she liked Tanner’s policies and that Tanner would do a good job running “the agency.”
Other fake candidates people fell for included “Golden Girls” characters, “Parks and Recreation” character Leslie Knope, two characters played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus and two “Cheers” characters.
Just one woman insisted that Tanner and Carter sounded like “movie stars” and weren’t actual candidates, drawing applause from the audience.
The video is part of Kimmel’s viral series “Lie Witness News.”
This video, posted Friday, has surpassed 50,000 views on You Tube, while his video tricking Coachella attendees into commenting on fake bands has over 17 million views.
