THE THINK TANK

Arizona political experts join Think Tank for pre-election special

Nov 2, 2018, 3:38 PM | Updated: 3:48 pm

This week’s Think Tank explores the upcoming election with two of the smartest political minds around, Arizona HighGround’s Chuck Coughlin and Valley attorney Tom Ryan.

But we take an unconventional approach to this venture. If you are looking for predictions about who will win, those are amply covered elsewhere in print and broadcast media. Or wait two days and you will find out who won.

We address far more important questions:

  • What are the enduring national trends and what impact will they have on our politics now and in the years to come? How will these be influenced by this election?
  • If we are about to experience a “blue wave” election, what impact might this have on the composition of the Republican and Democratic parties in the future?
  • This spring, “Red For Ed” seemed like it might be a dominant force in Arizona politics. What has happened to that movement?

All this and more in this week’s Think Tank pre-election special.

The Think Tank airs on KTAR News 92.3 FM on Sunday at 1-2 p.m. and repeats at 9-10 p.m.

Podcasts are available after each show is broadcast.
