PHOENIX — Tempe rock band Gin Blossoms will play at the “Go Vote” election eve rally for Democrats at the Van Buren in Phoenix.

The band, known for its hits “Hey Jealousy” and “Follow You Down,” is slated to play on Nov. 5 alongside Mariachi Pasión, Calexico and the Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra.

Political figures in attendance will include former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords and husband Mark Kelly, Rep. Ruben Gallego, former Phoenix mayor and congressional hopeful Greg Stanton, and former councilwoman and mayoral hopeful Kate Gallego.

The event is free for those who sign up for a volunteer shift for an Arizonan Democratic candidate. Otherwise, tickets are $15.

Pizza will be provided by Chris Bianco, owner of Phoenix’s Pizzeria Bianco.

Proceeds will benefit the Giffords: Courage to Fight Gun Violence political action committee.

We want to hear from you.
