PHOENIX — Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office K9 Mordor is now able to do his job with more peace of mind.
An anonymous sponsor donated a bullet and stab protective vest that Mordor will wear while on duty, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Thursday.
The vest is embroidered with the message “Born to Love — Trained to Serve — Loyal Always.”
The donation was made through Massachusetts nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s, which has provided over 3,100 protective vests to K9s throughout the country since 2009.
