PHOENIX — It’s almost the holiday season and if you want to get an early taste of Christmas, there’s an easy way to do so in Northern Arizona.
Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express will start its train rides, based off the popular children’s book, on Nov. 9 and will run tours into early January.
The train departs from Williams twice a day — 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. — on select days and will take riders through the wilderness as a simulation of traveling to the North Pole to visit Santa Claus.
Riders will be provided with hot chocolate and cookies and when they reach the North Pole, will be met by Santa Claus, who will provide each young rider with a special gift.
Tickets range between $43 and $55 for adults and between $33 and $45 for children aged 2 to 15.
Adult tickets on Christmas Eve are $79 while child tickets are $59.
