Elderly man killed in Fountain Hills pedestrian-involved accident

PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an elderly man was killed in a pedestrian-involved accident in the Phoenix suburb of Fountain Hills.
Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez said the driver remained on the scene of the crash near Hampstead Drive and Palisades Boulevard in Fountain Hills.

Both directions of Palisades Boulevard will be closed between Golden Eagle and Fountain Hills boulevards for several hours for the investigation.
Enriquez said the cause of the crash was unknown.
No other details were given.
