Arizona highway trooper on motorcycle injured in collision

PHOENIX — An Arizona highway patrol motorcycle trooper was injured early Wednesday in a collision with a car east of Phoenix.
No one was seriously hurt in the accident near U.S. 60 and Ironwood Drive in Apache Junction, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
The officer was taken to a hospital; the other driver was unharmed.

The right lane on Ironwood Drive reopened around 8:30 a.m, the department announced. The trooper was recovering at home.
