Phoenix-area luxury hotel named as best in Southwest for 2nd year in row
PHOENIX — A Phoenix-area luxury hotel has been recognized as the best hotel in the Southwest for the second year in a row, it was announced this week.
The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley was named the best hotel in the Southwest by the luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
It also moved up one spot nationally over last year, ranking No. 8 of the top 10 hotels in the United States. It was the only Arizona hotel to do so.
“To achieve these prestigious awards two years in a row makes us exceedingly proud,” the hotel’s Managing Director Stephen Ast said in a statement.
“Once again, this exemplifies the outstanding hospitality and service provided by our remarkable team while creating authentic and memorable guest experiences that are unmistakably Arizona.”
But The Hermosa Inn was not the only Arizona hotel to be recognized among the best in the Southwest: Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, The Palomar in Phoenix and L’Auberge de Sedona in Sedona were ranked as second, third and tenth, respectively.
The national rankings were determined by more than 429,000 readers, who submitted millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments about their experiences.
