PHOENIX — Two new travel options — one intercontinental and one domestic — are coming to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport next year.
The city announced Tuesday that one airline was expanding its European connection, and another is adding a new route to Florida.
German-based Condor is boosting its service between Sky Harbor and Frankfurt, which debuted this year. The airline offered the flights twice a week in 2018 from the end of May through September.
The route was successful enough that Condor will expand it in 2019 to three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday — from the beginning of May through October.
“That means that more people can come into the Valley and into Arizona from Germany, or connecting from all of the world through Frankfurt,” Deborah Ostreicher, Sky Harbor assistant director, told KTAR News 92.3 FM, “and we here in Arizona can go to Frankfort and/or all over the world with connections from there.
“It’s a huge, huge success for this Valley and for the state of Arizona.”

If southern Florida is as far as you need to go, JetBlue has you covered with new nonstop service between Sky Harbor and Fort Lauderdale.
The discount carrier will offer the flight daily starting Feb. 14, 2019.
