PHOENIX — A student at Northern Arizona University is facing disciplinary action for renting out his or her dorm room on Airbnb.
The guests had use of the room, which included a twin bed and bathroom, and access to the entire residence hall on the Flagstaff campus.
University spokeswoman Kim Ott said Friday the student, who has not been publicly identified, broke its code of conduct policy but for the time being will remain at school.
Housing officials and campus police had only recently learned of the listing. The renters were told to leave.
Airbnb, a popular online rental marketplace, pulled down the entry at the school’s request.
