Brett Kavanaugh, the Supreme Court nominee, has completely dominated the news for the last several weeks.
More quietly, the Supreme Court itself began its session earlier this week.
Our guest is the penultimate Arizona expert on all things Supreme Court: Arizona State University law professor and former dean Paul Bender.
The questions we will ask Dean Bender include:
• Why he, along with other law professors, signed a letter opposing Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court?
• What significant cases are likely to be heard by the Supreme Court in this year’s session?
• What impact will the departure of Justice Anthony Kennedy and the arrival of his replacement have on the decisions that are likely to be issued by the court this session?
• Will the absence of a “swing” justice make decisions more predictable?
The Think Tank airs on KTAR News 92.3 FM on Sunday at 1-2 p.m. and repeats at 9-10 p.m.
