Cars collide, shut down major intersection in Glendale

PHOENIX — Two men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after their cars collided on a Phoenix-area street Thursday morning during rush hour, police said.
The car crash near 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road shut down the intersection around 6 a.m. Authorities closed off the streets in all directions.
Emergency crews were at the scene.
The intersection wasn’t reopened until after 5 p.m.
Both drivers were expected to recover.
No other details were available.
