JERUSALEM (AP) – As Arab leaders gather for a summit in Baghdad, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is urging them to fulfill pledges to give the Palestinians financial aid.
Abbas told The Associated Press late Wednesday by telephone from Baghdad that “there are demands related to financial support, especially supporting Jerusalem… because the PA is in a difficult financial situation.”
Arab leaders have regularly failed to fulfill pledges of aid to the Palestinian Authority.
