PHOENIX — A Scottsdale woman has been charged with suspicion of child abuse, accused of leaving her 4-year-old daughter home alone in favor of club-hopping, authorities said.
Alexandra Rose Ciliento, 29, was taken into custody Sunday morning from an apartment near 94th Street and Bell Road. She’d left home Saturday at 11 p.m. before police tracked her down several hours later in Scottsdale.
Police said Ciliento didn’t try to find a baby sitter for the girl, who had knocked on a neighbor’s door around 6:30 a.m. The neighbor waited 45 minutes for Ciliento to return home, then called 911.
Officers were able to call her after finding a phone number for the child’s father, who gave them Ciliento’s phone number.
ABC15 reported that Ciliento told officers she didn’t know the little girl could unlock the door.
Ciliento was booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail in Phoenix.
A judge forbade her from having any contact with the child.
Ciliento’s next court date was scheduled for Oct. 8.
