Good advice if you’re ever robbed:
“Just give it up,” says Phoenix Police Det. Mike Fisher, “If it’s money, a wallet, shoes, whatever…it isn’t worth your life.”
A McDonald’s employee followed that advice and lived to tell about it.
On Monday, June 5, 2017 at about 8:30 p.m., a thin woman in her 50s, wearing a pink, white and gray striped dress and dark glasses walked in to the restaurant at 51st Avenue and McDowell Road.
Fisher says, “She presented a note to the employee working the counter, demanding money. She also claimed she had a gun but no gun was seen.”
She fled with the cash in a dark-colored four-door sedan.

Next, meet Kiki Davis, a very happy and precocious 12-year-old who didn’t let Down syndrome hold her back. Her mom says she loved helping around the house with the cleaning and cooking.
The seventh grader also enjoyed dancing, playing house, eating french fries and spaghetti and watching her favorite movies like “Coco” and “Hotel Transylvania.” But on Tuesday, July 31, before dawn, Kiki left her house without telling her mom.
“She got out of the house that morning when it was still dark. She was crossing the street at 59th Avenue and Indian School Road when she was struck by a blue, older modern Dodge Dakota,” says Fisher.
It never stopped and continued southbound on 59th Avenue. Kiki didn’t survive.
