PHOENIX — Arizona politicians and first responders went on social media Tuesday to pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives when terrorists hijacked four airplanes in a coordinated attack on America 17 years ago.
The airplanes crashed into New York’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon in Washington and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 11, 2001.
In all, 2,996 were killed. Memorials to 9/11 continue to grow.
Remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11, and those who have given their all to keep us safe ever since.
