PHOENIX — A 2-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a residential pool on Thursday, the Gilbert Police Department said.
The boy was in the pool near Recker and Ray roads for roughly five minutes before his father discovered him and started performing CPR.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he died about an hour after he was recovered.
Officers said they were not sure whether the family was swimming at the time of the accident. There was no fence around the pool.
They are investigating.
