A wrecked and abandoned horse trailer found in southwest Phoenix.
“Inside the trailer was a horse that was so severely injured that ultimately it had to be euthanized,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild.
The trailer was found along Broadway Road near 63rd Avenue on April 14.
The horse was a tri-color paint with a black and white tail.
It had several white spots on the mane, a black spot on the rear leg and a very distinctive white area on his right shoulder.

Sgt. Rothschild says: “This is one of those cases where we really benefit from having surveillance video.”
The home where this crime happened had cameras outside. It was Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 near 29th Avenue and Southern.
“It was almost 5 in the morning and still dark out,” says Sgt. Rothschild, “When our two suspects drove up in a light-colored Honda Civic.”
They started looking into a vehicle in the driveway. Police don’t know if they were planning to break into the car or if they knew the person it belonged to.
But, at least one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the house.
Then, they got back into their Civic and as they took off, the passenger stuck the gun out of the window and fired, hitting the victim’s home and vehicle.
