Walmart in Peoria evacuated due to bomb threat, police say

PHOENIX — A Walmart in a Phoenix suburb was evacuated on Sunday after a bomb threat was called into the location.
The Peoria Police Department said in a tweet that the threat was called into the Walmart on Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road.
The store was later checked and was “determined to be safe,” police said.

According to ABC15, police said a person called the store stating that there was a bomb placed into a trash can at the store.
Residents were told to avoid the area.
