PHOENIX — Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A will begin testing a menu item in the Phoenix area before the end of August, the company said.
The spicy chicken strips combine the original strips and the spicy chicken sandwich. Testing at Valley restaurants was scheduled to start Aug. 25.
Two other areas have been offering the spicy strips since fall 2017 — Philadelphia and cities in Texas.
“We‘re excited to hear what customers in the test markets think,” Matt Reed from Chick-fil-A’s menu development team said Monday on the company website.
Customers will be able to order the strips in threes or fours; choice of dipping sauce is included.
If the strips get enough thumbs-up, they’ll be added to the national menu.
Tucson and Yuma also were getting the trial run.
