PHOENIX – A Peoria man was sentenced to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
According to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Reynaldo Granado portrayed himself as a female in a messaging app — username SluttyIvy — in order to obtain pornographic photos and videos of children under 15 years of age.
The activity was identified in February 2017 by Homeland Security Investigations, which found that the account was linked to Granado.
A tablet device containing child pornography was found at Granado’s residence after a search warrant was served in April 2017.
In September 2017, he was indicted on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
On June 14, he entered a plea agreement to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
A judge sentenced Granado on Wednesday. After he is released from Arizona Department of Corrections, he will be placed on lifetime probation.
