PHOENIX — Do you think you have what it takes to be the winner of “American Idol”?
If so, warm up those pipes and head on down to Scottsdale, where auditions for the ABC reality television show will be held later this month.
That’s right: If you have the voice of an angel (or just want a shot at a TV appearance), you can attend the open call audition at Scottsdale Stadium on Aug. 28.
In order to audition in person, you must register online first by picking the city you want to register in and providing personal information, such as full name, date of birth and email address.
Eligible contestants must be between 15 and 28 years old, a United States resident and must have an unrestricted right to work in the United States.
Participants should be prepared to sing at least two songs of their choice, either a cappella or with your own instrumental accompaniment.
Can’t make it to the open call? No worries — you can also submit an online audition.
Editor’s note: This story was updated on Aug. 22 to reflect the new location of the auditions.
