Political guru Chuck Coughlin returns to the Think Tank this week as we take a wide range of topics political. Three topics dominated our discussion:
Foreign policy: the Putin-Trump Summit, Trade Wars
Arizona citizen initiatives and legal challenges to the Solar Initiative, the Dirty Money initiative, and Invest in Ed. All of these got the required signatures (before validation by the Secretary of State) but each is being challenged by groups who fear the results of a citizen vote.
Arizona Elections: particularly legislative elections. About 20 additional educators are running for one of Arizona’s 90 legislative seats. What is the chance that increased teacher involvement/Red For Ed in the political process will change the character of our legislature?
