PHOENIX — An urgent care facility located within the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is offering free physical exams for students and other athletes looking to participate in sporting events.
USCareWays will be offering free sports physicals from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through August, spokeswoman Megan Lamy told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
“It’s the beginning of school and sports season with fall coming up, so I know it’s top of the line and people are needing physicals,” Lamy said.
Lamy said anyone in need of a physical can walk in and be seen, all they need to bring is an organizational form from their school or sport to be signed by the provider.
And if the physician recommends any further testing or x-rays, Lamy said they can do that on-site as well.
“There’s a heightened awareness (about) safety related to concessions,” she said.
“A lot of physicals are mandatory now and we wanted to be a part of providing that safety pre-season.”
The free physicals will help families save anywhere from $25 to $75, Lamy said.
The facility is located within Drugs & More, a pre-security drugstore located in Terminal 4 near the C gate.
