Phoenix expected to see 118 degree temperatures next week

PHOENIX — It’s going to be hot in the Phoenix area next week. Yes, even hotter than usual.
A heat wave is expected to swing through the Valley, with the hottest temperatures coming at the start of the week.
The National Weather Service predicted that Phoenix will record high temperatures of 116 on Monday, with the heat peaking at 118 degrees on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service advised against “any outdoor activity” if possible, as the heat was expected to be “very dangerous and deadly” through Wednesday.
And the nights won’t be much cooler: The low temperatures for Monday and Tuesday in Phoenix was expected to be 91 degrees.

• Sunday: High of 112, low of 89
• Monday: High of 116, low of 91
• Tuesday: High of 118, low of 91
• Wednesday: High of 116, low of 89
• Thursday: High of 110, low of 88
• Friday: High of 109, low of 87
• Saturday: High of 106, low of 86
The Flagstaff area will see temperatures in the low-to mid-80s next week as well, The Weather Channel predicted.
If you plan on spending time outdoors next week, make sure to be prepared. Officials recommend carrying water, re-hydrating with sports drinks and take shelter if need be.
