Tucson man sentenced to 12-plus years in prison for bank robberies

PHOENIX — A Tucson man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for robbing four banks across the state over a four-month period, it was announced Monday.
Robert Lad Solfisburg, 34, was sentenced on Monday to 150 months in prison. He had previously pleaded guilty to four counts of bank robbery.
Solfisburg robbed four U.S. Banks — three in Tucson and one in Tempe — between December 2016 and March 2017.
He would approach bank tellers while holding a plastic bag and demand that money be place inside of the bag.
Officials said Solfisburg took between $2,338 to $4,080 per robbery.
At the time that he was arrested for the robberies, Solfisburg was on federal supervision for committing two prior bank robberies in Phoenix and California.
