Missing 76-year-old man found safe after being last seen in Mesa

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled after a missing 76-year-old man was located after he was last seen driving in Mesa on Friday.
Paul Roberson was last seen in the area of Baseline and Alma School roads around 8 a.m. Friday. He was on his way to the Costco at Country Club Drive and Baseline Road in Mesa for a planned trip to Strawberry, Arizona.
Mesa police said Roberson was “located and is now home safe and sound” just before 7 p.m. the same day.
He was driving a white Ford F-150 with chipped paint and a faded hood. The two-door car also has an Arizona license plate of 4NY210. There were also two black tote bags in the bed of the vehicle.
Roberson has dementia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema. His vision is also impaired and he uses an inhaler, which he may have with him.
He is currently on medications but does not have them with him. He also typically uses a cane to walk since he walks slowly, but it was left at home.
Roberson was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, green or grey cargo shorts and Birkenstock clogs. He is about 5-feet-11 with brown eyes and grey hair.
