2-year-old girl dies after being found in Goodyear pool

PHOENIX — A 2-year-old girl has died after she was found in a pool in the backyard of a home in Goodyear on Thursday.
Goodyear Fire Department Batallion Chief Ed Pahl said in an email to KTAR News 92.3 FM that the girl passed away at Abrazo West after being found in the pool around 6:30 p.m.

Pahl said she was transported to a local hospital in “respiratory arrest.”
The home was located near Bullard Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
The Goodyear Police Department is conducting an investigation.
No further details were available.
