Glendale police on the lookout for stolen unmarked police vehicle

PHOENIX — The Glendale Police Department is advising caution after an unmarked police vehicle was stolen Tuesday.

At approximately 6:44 a.m. near 5100 W. Wood Drive in Glendale, an unknown suspect stole the vehicle.

It is described as a light brown 2015 four-door Chevy Silverado LT extended cab truck. The truck also has a matching tonneau bed cover with hidden red and blue emergency lights, which can be activated in the front and rear of the truck. The vehicle has an Arizona license plate CJ51057.

Inside the vehicle were police indicia, equipment and firearms belonging to the Department of Public Safety.

Authorities are currently investigating the situation and ask anyone who sees the vehicle to not approach and use caution and to 911 immediately.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts on the vehicle, police equipment or suspects involved are urged to contact Glendale Police at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
