PHOENIX — Former Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely put his sprawling waterfront home in suburban Phoenix on the market.
The 7,000-square-foot estate in Queen Creek, southeast of Phoenix, was listed for $2.65 million earlier this month.
That’s bigger and less expensive than the Paradise Valley home being sold by Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps. Phelps’ 6,000-square-foot house recently went on the market for $4.125 million.
Feely’s Santan Lakeside Estates home was built on a 1-acre lot in 2006 and has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, according to its Realtor.com listing. The house was purchased in 2012 for $1.5 million.
It has a pool, a covered boat dock and a pizza oven, and the 14 wall-mounted TVs are part of the deal.
Feely kicked for the Cardinals from 2010 to ’13 and completed his 14-year NFL career with the Chicago Bears in 2014. He played for six teams and was a Pro Bowler in 2005 for the New York Giants.
According to Spotrac, an internet database of sports contracts, Feely earned more than $17.5 million as an NFL player.
He joined CBS Sports as a college football analyst after his playing days ended and also has worked on the network’s NFL coverage.
