PHOENIX — Millennials are on the move and the desert is considered one of the hot spots.

Comparing 2016 Census Bureau migration data from 50 states and Washington D.C., including 217 cities, SmartAsset compiled a list of the top locations that people ages 20 to 34 are choosing as their next home.

Arizona came in among the top 10 for states where millennials are moving.

Sitting 10th, Arizona has a net migration of 7,077.

When looking at individual cities, Arizona did not have one in the top 10, but Tempe came in at No. 22.

SmartAsset also provided three tips: saving money before you’re ready, extras can hurt the wallet and not going overboard, for first-time home buyers.

Sitting atop the millennial hill was the state of Washington, which saw the largest influx of millennials, with Seattle coming in as the top city chosen.

We want to hear from you.
