PHOENIX – Recruit Military will hold its 27th veterans job fair in the Valley on Thursday, aiming to assist current and former military with re-entering corporate America.
Adam O’Toole, the director of military relations for Recruit Military, told KTAR News 92.3 FM that over 60 companies are planning to attend the event at University of Phoenix Stadium.
“These companies recognize the benefit of hiring a military veteran and the work ethic that comes with that,” O’Toole said. “Whether you are transitioning right now, currently serving, or have already been a veteran, we wanted to make sure we had a way to get them back into corporate America and this was the best way we found to do so.”
O’Toole said a variety of industries will be represented at the event, with most companies sending at least two recruiters to interact with candidates.
Over 400 job-seekers were present at last year’s event, with more expected this time around.
“It’s the type of event that you want to come down, dress to impress and have multiple copies of your resume on-hand,” O’Toole said. “Talk to these employers, hear what they are looking for and see where you fit into that organization.”
The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday at University of Phoenix Stadium, near the intersection of 91st Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Glendale.
A professional photographer will be on-hand from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., offering candidates free professional photos.
