PHOENIX — If you’re nostalgic for the days of standing in line with fellow fans to buy concert tickets and are a lover of industrial music, you might want to get to Comerica Theatre early Saturday morning.

That’s when followers of Nine Inch Nails will have the first chance to buy tickets to the Trent Reznor-led band’s two September shows at the downtown Phoenix venue.

In what’s being billed as a “physical world presale,” all tickets for the Sept. 13 and 14 performances will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis at 10 a.m. Saturday at the box office inside the arena.

Ticket buyers will be allowed to line up in the Comerica lobby, off Washington Street, starting at 8 a.m. Sales will be cut off at 3 p.m. or if concert tickets are sold out.

Remaining tickets, if there are any, won’t be sold online or through other outlets until a date to be announced.

The band gave a tongue-in-cheek explanation on its website why it’s turning back the clock for ticket sales to its Cold and Black Infinite Tour, which kicks off with the Phoenix shows:

The promise of a world made better by computers and online connectivity has failed us in many ways, particularly when it comes to ticketing. Everything about the process sucks and everyone loses except the reseller. We’ve decided to try something different that will also likely suck, but in a different way.

There is a four-ticket limit per person, per show. Prices range from $55 to $125.

Nine Inch Nails will be touring in support of a new album, “Bad Witch,” which is scheduled for release June 22. The Jesus and Mary Chain will be opening act.

We want to hear from you.
